The heroes of the Longest Morning

You hear a lot about the war these days. Lots of politics, lots of "get our troops out" rhetoric, and lots of everything in between. Sometimes we forget that there are brave soldiers fighting for a just cause. In this time of varied feelings about the war, it's rare to hear stories about heroes.

The Longest Morning is a story of a four man sniper team known as Reaper who stood against forty al Qaeda intent on kidnapping and publicly murdering those soldiers. The story makes no assertions about the rightness or wrongness of the war, it only details the amazing tale of the bravery and honor of the Reaper sniper team in the face of insurmountable odds. Support the war or not, these soldiers are heroes and deserve to be treated as such. I only hope people can realize that.
